How to update Micromax canvas Xpress A99 to Android Lollipop?

Micromax has rolled out an update for its recently launched canvas xpress phone, the device was launched exclusively on Flipkart and the device has become the first device in canvas series to receive the Lollipop update and that too before canvas A1 the Android one phone number which was highlighted during its launch to receive the update first.

Canvas Xpress is a device whichis comparable to unite 2 and canvas a1, both the other devices are still waiting for lollipop update.

Users can install Android 5.0 Lollipop launchers for their Micromax devices if the update isn’t available to get the glance of the update in short.

Canvas Xpress features the below specifications out of the box:

The upgrade has been rolled out OTA which is good as users would not have to rush here and there following guides to update manually.

OTA:

To update Over the air reboot your device once and the update notification is available on the notification bar, if it doesn’t appear there visit settings–>About Phone and the System/Software update. Check your updates and download the update using a good working data connection or over WiFi.

Manually:
