So, Micromax Canvas A1 has become one of the most popular device under 6500 range. One of the reason of the device getting popular is that the device will receive the latest Android updates by Google for the next two years (Google trust) plus the device is built by an Android firm, Micromax. Today we will share the AnTuTu Benchmark score of Canvas A1 and the amount of Free RAM after installing apps to the device.
The AnTuTu benchmark app performs the following tests: User Experience (UX), CPU Test, CPU Single Test, RAM Test, GPU Test, I/O Test. While performing the test the app takes the hardware configuration of the device into account including system mode, current device temperature, running apps and more.
Please note that the score may vary every time you test with this app. Before presenting the benchmark score let’s discuss the specifications this phone comes with:
- 4.5 inch screen with FWVGA (480*854) display.
- MT6582 1.3Ghz quad core processor.
- 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM (2.1GB (for apps)).
- Sensors: G-sensor/Proximity/ Light Sensor.
- 5MP Rear Auto focus camera mated with 2MP Front Fixed focus camera.
- Android 4.44 Kitkat OS
Below is the screenshot of the app while testing and the score is around 17,515. Quite decent score as per the specs and price of this device.
Now, the part comes for the amount of free RAM present in the device. The device comes with 1GB of RAM however the memory gets allocated to the system and the background running apps. More free RAM = smooth performance and no lag.
We took the screenshot of the RAM after installing some apps and found 423MB to be free which is good. The phone runs on Stock Android 4.4.4. There is one another device Redmi 1s from Xiaomi in the same range we did test the device and found RAM management issues with this device just 200-300MB free RAM. Canvas A1 seems to be a better choice in the price range.
