Yesterday, a new company YU stepped into the android market. YU is backed by Micromax and has launched the much awaited “Yureka” which is in the news because it is the first Indian device to have CyanogenMod and has all the features which will change your Android experience.
This handset will surely be giving a tough competition to many available handsets in the market currently, but the one competitor which we find apt is Xiaomi Redmi Note. Redmi Note is also a device based on 4G LTE connectivity (9,999 one as the previously launched 3G handset has been banned). Today we will be comparing these two on the basis of specs they offer.
Yureka boasts 5.5” IPS HD display with resolution of 1280X720pixels and 16M color depth. The display screen gets its protection from Corning Gorilla glass 3 and Oleophobic coating. On the other hand Xiaomi Note flaunts 5.5” IPS LCD capacitive touch screen. Here also screen is protected by Corning Gorilla glass 3. So basically we have a tie here, since both the smart phones have similar features.
Processor and OS:
Yureka runs on 1.5GHz Octa core processor with its chipset based on 64- bit Snapdragon 615 processor while Redmi Note has a Quad core processor which is clocked at the frequency of 1.6GHz. We have cortex A7 processor based on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Yureko has Adreno 405 GPU, however Xiaomi has Adreno 305 GPU. Talking about the RAM, both have their processor coupled with 2GB of internal RAM.
Yureka is based on CyanogenMod 11 Operating system based on Android Kitkat while Note runs on outdated Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean (MIUI).
Both have 13MP of rear camera with 5MP of front camera to click selfies or to have video calls. With Redmi Note we has camera features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR and video recording at 1080p at 30fps. Yureka has the features like live filter, exposure control, burst mode, video mode with time-lapse and Slo-Mo etc..
YU Yureka bears 16GB of internal memory out of which 12.5 GB is available for mass storage and apps. External memory is expandable up to 32GB with the help of external SD card slot. Redmi Note on the other hand features 8GB of internal ROM and external memory expandable up to 64GB.
Both the phones offer connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, USB, Bluetooth etc.
Yureka accommodates sensors like G-sensor/Proximity/ Light Sensor/Gyroscope while Redmi Note includes sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass.
YU bears 2500mAh battery which claims talk time of 8h and stand by time of 210h while Note houses 3200mAh battery claiming talk time of 14h (in 3G) and stand by time of 775h.
