Canvas XL 2 is the new variant by Micromax which provides large 5.5” display. In our last segment we compared Canvas XL 2 with its kin Canvas XL and Canvas doodle 3. Canvas XL 2 can be slight disappointment for the one who thinks the device as the up gradation of its predecessor.
Though company has caters many changes but still the device is just the same but is only disguised in a new avatar.
Both the devices sports large display and this is the reason why we are giving a short comparison between the two.
Both Canvas L and Canvas XL 2 include 5.5” display with the resolution of 540X960 pixels. Since the resolution is low, we can expect both the devices to have the problem of pixelation and swoop the pixel density of the handset to just 200ppi.
OS and Processor:
Both Canvas XL 2 and Canvas L operates on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat version which is currently in trend in the android market. Canvas XL 2 has quad core processor based on MediaTek MT6589M chipset at the clock frequency of 1.2GHz. While Canvas L features 1.3GHz Quad core processor based on MediaTek MT6582 chipset.
We also need the android phone with promising battery backup and today most of the gadgets fails to meet the same. But Canvas XL 2 houses 2500mAh battery claiming talk time of 8.5 hours and stand by time of 255 hours while Canvas L dwells 2350mah battery delivering talk time of 8 h and stand by time of 210 hours. Canvas L is quite a deluded one when we look at the battery backup.
Canvas XL 2 sports 5MP rear camera which is coupled with LED flash and VGA front facing camera for video calling and for clicking selfies. On the other hand Canvas L feature 8MP rear snapper mated along with decent 2MP front facing camera. It is quite evident that Canvas L is better in terms of Camera when compared to Canvas XL2.
Canvas XL 2 bears 1GB of internal RAM coupled with 4GB of internal ROM out of which 1.43GB is available for mass storage and 795MB for apps while Canvas L includes 8GB of internal RAM out of which only 1.25GB is available for apps and 4.91 GB for user data. Both have quite average storage back up and hence it is totally user call what he wants.
Both the device chalks up Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, 3G, 2G, GPS, A-GPS etc for the animus of connectivity.
