Micromax Windows Phones W121 & W092 discontinued

After a long time Micromax has finally decided to quit the manufacturing of the popular Canvas Win W121 and Canvas 092 handsets. Win 121 and Win092 were two most popular handsets by the faddish Indian Android maker, Micromax. With the advent of new smart phones in the market, Micromax has tried to give a fresh start to its venture in the window phone market.

Micromax Win W121 & W092 discontinued in India

Last year, Microsoft collaborated with Micromax and for the very first time launched two windows handset i.e Canvas W121 and Canvas 092. Micromax close rivals Xolo and Karbonn did the similar step and launched their ventures in the windows market.

Micromax unveiled these phones so as to give tough competition to Nokia as at that time it was only Nokia which was dealing with the Windows handset. These phones included all the latest specs so that user doesn’t feel ditched. Canvas W121 included the features like 5” IPS LCD Capacitive touch screen display with latest Windows 8.1 operating system, 8MP rear camera with 2MP front facing camera, 2000mah battery, 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage etc.

Canvas 092 on the other hand accommodated the specs like 4” IPS LCD Display with screen resolution of 480X800 pixels, Windows phone 8.1 OS, 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, 8Gb of internal memory with 1GB of internal RAM, 5MP camera, VGA secondary camera, 1500mah Li-Ion battery etc.

These two smartphones were touted to have the best specs at that time. And looking at the Micromax popularity, Microsoft opted for Micromax than any other company. When looked at the specs, one was assured that he was getting all the latest specs which were available in the market at that time. Micromax has always tried to come up with the user’s expectations and this was the reason Micromax stepped into the Windows market. And the best part was that user was getting all these specs at an affordable price. These handsets were providing those specs which were even not available in the Nokia Windows-based smart phones.

And now from our source we came to know that Micromax has discontinued the manufacturing of Windows phones. But it is not like that the company is totally out of windows business. News is that the company is planning to soon launch an entirely new handset based on Windows operating system. If this happens then one is pretty sure that he is about to see some entirely new innovations and that too at pocket friendly prices which has now become the trademark of the Indian company. Though nothing about the specs have been mentioned yet but once it happens, we will be the first to inform our readers about this new Windows based smartphone.

Currently the company is focusing on bringing the smart phones like Canvas A1 which was the product of the tie up of Micromax with Google or Canvas Nitro which not only provide high-end performance but also comes under the affordable range on many online retailers.

The phones are still showing to be available on online portals, you can buy the device till the stock lasts. [Buy Now] – lowest Price
