Recently Micromax has launched all new Micromax Canvas Xpress which is known for its quality specs and some additional features which were initially not available in any of the handsets offered by Micromax. On the other hand we have Micromax Unite 2 which is known for its updated specs and is the successor of famous Canvas Unite.
These both handsets are available in a similar price tag and today we will be comparing these handsets on the basic of specs and features they offer.

Xpress flaunts 4.5” IPS Display with screen resolution on 854X480pixels and 16.7M color depth which will allow one to watch the movies and videos in a crisp and clear quality. Canvas Unite 2 on the other hand features 4.7” IPS LCD capacitive touch screen which comes up with screen resolution of 480X800 pixels, 16M color depth and 199ppi pixel density.
OS and Processor:
Micromax Xpress and Unite 2 both runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat version. Unite 2 runs on 1.3GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processor based on MediaTek MT6582 chipset. It also includes Mali-400 MP2 GPU. Micromax Canvas Xpress on the other hand has quad-core processor based on MTK6582V/X chipset and clocked at the frequency of 1.3GHz. it includes Mali 400 MP1 GPU.
Micromax A99 Xpress bears 1GB of internal RAM coupled with internal ROM of 8GB out of which 5.85GB is available as user memory and external memory expandable up to 32GB. On the other hand Canvas Unite 2 accommodates 1GB of internal RAM mated with internal memory of 4GB and external memory expandable up to 32GB with the help of MicroSD card slot.
Both Unite 2 and Xpress sports 5MP of rear snapper along with features like LED flash, auto focus, Geo-tagging etc. The only difference lies in their front camera. Unite 2 boasts 2MP of front facing camera while Canvas Xpress features 0.3 MP of front facing camera through which one can click selfies or even can set up video calls with their family and friends.
Both can record and play HD videos at 720p.
Both encompass connectivity features like Bluetooth, USB, GSM, GPRS, 3G, 2G etc. Canvas Xpress includes sensors like accelerometer, proximity, gravity and light sensors. While Canvas Unite 2 offers accelerometer and proximity sensors.
It is considered as the lifeline of the Android system, therefore it is very necessary for a handset to offer such a battery backup which keep the Android handset going whole day long. Unite 2 houses Li-Ion battery of 2000mAh battery which claims talk time of 8h and stand by time of 190h. Canvas Xpress houses 1950 Li-Ion battery promising talk time up to 7h on 2G and stand by time up to 240h on 2G.
Apart from all these features we have a beautifully chiseled body with diamond cut edges in Canvas Xpress. One can also enjoy the feature of Hot Knot and Smart Wake. Through HotKnot, one can start sharing their files by simply selecting them, tap on the hot knot symbol, touch the display of both the devices and start sharing the files. And with Smart Wake, one enjoy listening music, view call logs, browsing internet, bypass screen lock, command applications and can access their phones with just simple swipes.
