Micromax Unite 4 & Unite 4 Pro with Fingerprint Sensor Launched

Micromax has expanded its Unite flagship by adding on two new variants in the list. We are talking about Canvas Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro. Micromax Canvas Unite 4 is launched at the price of INR 6,999 while since its kin is the “Pro” version of Unite 4 it is tagged at the amount of INR 7,499. Difference is not just in their price but in their availability as well. Micromax Unite 4 can be bought through offline stores while Unite 4 Pro will be made exclusively available from Snapdeal which is a faddish e-retailer at number 3 after Flipkart and Amazon.

These handsets come up with new Indus OS V2.0 that supports features like 12 Indian languages, App Bazaar which is actually Indus’ own marketplace for regional languages, free SMS services from Indus to Indus, Indus Swipe feature, text to speech technology in 6 languages etc. Apart from this other highlighting feature of this phone is that “App Bazaar” which is a new app doesn’t ask for any e-mail id or credit card details for the payment of the apps. Moreover both the handsets encompass fingerprint scanner on board to unlock the device in few seconds.

There are quite similarity in both the handsets as both comprehend 8MP of camera at the rear combined along with 5MP of shooter at the front. Both sport similar 5” HD IPS display delivering 293ppi pixel density.

What makes Unite 4 different from Unite 4 Pro is the processor. Unite 4 runs on MediaTek MT6735P chipset quad-core processor clocked at the clock frequency of 1.4GHz. Processor is further combined along with 1GB of RAM and bears 8GB of storage on the board that can be further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card slot. Micromax Unite 4 Pro on the other hand is powered by Spreadtrum SC9832 Quad core processor clocked at the clock frequency of 1.3GHz. Further it carries the combination of 2GB RAM with 16GB of storage further expandable up to 32GB via Micro SD card slot.

Unite 4 operates on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS topped by Indus OS V2.0 while Unite 4 Pro functions on dated Android 5.1 Lollipop OS layered by Indus OS V2.0. Company claims that soon they will come up with the Marshmallow update for the Unite 4 Pro but the timeline has not been revealed yet for the same.
