This news has been sourced from TheMobileIndian, as per Vikas Jain –
We may come out with a device based on Snapdragon 210 in the first half of 2015 when we would see pan-India roll out of 4G
Currently Micromax bring the phones that runs on chipset based on MediaTek which delivers the specs like ARM Cortex A-7 CPU, power VR SGX544GPU, primary camera support up to 13MP, HD screen resolution, etc (depending upon different chipsets). For example recently the Indian android maker launched Canvas Nitro in the canvas segment which includes the following specs: 5” HD display, Android 4.4.2 kitkat OS, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front facing camera, 1.7GHz Octa core processor etc.
But once we have Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset one will get the pleasure of having better battery performance with relatively preferable camera options which we have already mentioned above. Moreover it would be a step ahead for the company which has work for so long on the MediaTek chipset.
There are only few companies offering 4G LTE technology in India in the mid-range segment. But with Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor on the board we can expect this to happen very soon. And with this news we hope that Micromax will soon rope in this new technology and will be the first to deliver 4G LTE technology based smart phones.
