Canvas 4 Plus is the latest release by Micromax which aims at mid-range market with laudatory specs while Canvas Gold was ballyhooed to be the best smartphone at the time when it was launched. Canvas 4 Plus is the next-gen of Canvas 4 which was launched last year and grabbed all the attention of the android users.

OS and Processor:

Both Canvas Gold and MMX A315 functions on latest Android 4.4 Kitkat version out of the box. Micromax Canvas gold and Canvas 4 Plus both use Octa core processor based on MediaTek Mt6592 chipset. The only difference is in their clock frequency. Canvas Gold is clocked at 2GHz clock frequency while Canvas 4 Plus is clocked at slightly less i.e 1.7GHZ clock frequency.

While Micromax Gold’s processor is coupled with 2GB of internal RAM, MMX Canvas 4 Plus still uses 1GB of internal RAM which looks quite absurd keeping in mind the current scenario when almost all the handset in the mid-range flaunts more than 1GB of internal RAM.

 

Camera:

Canvas Gold sports 16MP of camera which is mated along with LED Flash and 5 MP of front facing camera which one can use to click selfies or to establish video calls with their family and friends. Canvas 4 Plus on the other hand sports 13MP of rear camera along with 5MP of fixed focus front camera. Rear camera comes along with features like LED Flash, AF, HDR, Full video recording etc.

 

Battery:

Gold A300 houses 2300mAh battery claiming talk time of 8h and stand by time of 210h. while Canvas 4 Plus bears 2000mah battery promising talk time of 7 h and stand by time of 205h.

Canvas Gold bears 32GB of internal storage out of which only 25 GB is available for the users while rest is occupied by the OS but it provides no room for expandable memory. On the other hand Canvas 4 Plus uses 16GB of memory on board with external memory expandable up to 32GB.

Both provides features like Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, GPS, A-GPS, 3G, 2G etc for connectivity purpose.
