Micromax Canvas Duet 2 GSM+CDMA 1.2GHz 1GB RAM Specs Price

Micromax recently launched their first GSM + CDMA device Micromax canvas Blaze that has received quite good response from Indian users in spite of the restriction on the CDMA slot. Micromax observed the craze among Indian users regarding the CDMA usage and I also remember lots of people commented on our site raising the same question – Can Micromax Canvas Blaze work with other CDMA SIM? I always answered the same – No, You can’t! The user has to get the phone unlocked first to use any other SIM. But in Micromax Canvas Duet 2 You can use any CDMA SIM you want to.

This is the image of Micromax Canvas Duet 2 that we just received from our source. This is seriously a nice move from Micromax.

As you might have observed that there are very less number of GSM+CDMA devices present in smartphone market. Old CDMA customers are sticking to their CDMA connection and currently they have to use an old device to use the SIM. Micromax is providing a very good option to those users who wished to use their CDMA SIM in a smartphone.

In Canvas Duet II users can use any CDMA SIM they want like TATA Indicom CDMA, Reliance CDMA, MTS CDMA, BSNL CDMA, MTNL, Virgin, etc.

We have the specs details too with us. Specs looks decent in comparison to the blaze phone battery specs have been improved.

  1. The camera flash light of the devices should be more powerfull and brighter as we see in the samsung devices.

    respected sir/mdm,
would i like to inform you that myself is jagdish kumar from sonipat(haryana). i want to know abt ur new upcoming smart phone of micromax duet II(cdma+gsm).what is the month or date of this set for launching. and also tell me abt micromax canvas 5.

  3. You have rightly said about the plight of CDMA users as there is no decent dual network smartphone at affordable prices in the Indian Market. Once Micromax Canvass Blaze MT 500 was launched, we thought we could try other CDMA SIMs too. But it was locked to MTS Network. Even though other options such as HTC are available, the price seems a bit prohibitive for good models like HTC Desire 600C, 700 and the HTC One Dual. I used a Spice handset for 3 years – dual network- and then bought a Micromax GC 360 which I am using for the last 3 years. Both the handsets were very good. Now Smartphone from Micromax with dual network facility is great news. EAGERLY awaiting the launch of this product….

  4. The price is too high compared to other micromax phones of same catagory. like the canvas blaze costs around 10999, its almost 5000 higher

  5. Is Google Play Store app Working, totally interested in buying this phone if the Play Store issue is fixed..

  6. Dipen Shah says:

Google Play Store app is not working. Waiting to see when this bug will be resolved. Without google play store app, its of no use.

  7. Kindly let me know that what SMART phone options are available for CDMA (Reliance) users? Can micromax canvas EG111/116 be used for Reliance CDMA ?
