Micromax has started provided kitkat updates to its leading devices. After canvas doodle 3 and canvas knight it’s now Canvas 2 colours’s turn. Android kitkat update is now available for canvas 2 colours and that too via OTA.
So, now the C2 colours users can directly upgrade their Android operating system from jelly bean 4.2 to Android 4.4.2 from their phone itself.
Canvas 2 colours is just another variant of Canvas 2 with which Micromax entered into the smartphone market. The phone features a 5 inch IPS screen with HD (720p) display. Quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz (MT6582 chiopset) with 1GB RAM and 4G B ROM. 8MP Rear shooter supported with 2MP front camera. It is powered with a 2000mAh battery claiming a talktime of 7 Hours 45 Min and standby time of 225 Hours.

Simply reboot your phone and look a notification will pop up in your notification bar. The update will be sent throughout the week!

Now the question comes – how to upgrade, right? So either you can flash the official kitkat ROM manually or you can upgrade via OTA. The update is also available from the authorized service centers.
Upgrade Canvas 2 Colours to Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OTA
Before trying out this method make sure you have a working WiFi connection or a 3G one so that the download gets completed without any interruption. In case if you’re not able to update with the below method (OTA) try updating manually.
- Reboot your device.
- If notification doesn’t appears in the notification menu regarding the kitkat update, follow step 3.
- Open settings menu.
- Follow: Settings–> About Phone–> System/Software updates.
Then you’ll be followed towards the page as shown below:
