Compare Micromax Canvas A1 VS Micromax Unite 2 A106

Today Google has launched the Android One phones in India which include the variant Micromax Canvas A1 also. As the phone has been unveiled it is very obvious that people must have commenced the comparison of this handset with various mobile present in the market currently.

Micromax Canvas A1 vs Micromax Canvas Unite 2

And the one phone which we find its sole competitor right now is Canvas Unite 2 as it caters similar specs and is available in similar price tag. So today we will be focusing on the allegory of the two.

Display:

Micromax Canvas A1 brags 4.5” FWVGA (854X480pixels) display contrary to what Canvas series is known for. On the other hand Micromax Canvas Unite 2 boasts 4.7” display which is .2” larger than that of the CanvasA1 and include LCD screen with the resolution of 480X800pixels. Clearly though Unite 2 deliver large screen but for crisper and clear image quality I will go for Canvas A1.

OS and Processor:

CanvasA1 operates on latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the box and the USP of the gadget is it will provide freshest of android version. On the other hand Canvas Unite 2 also functions on latest android Kitkat 4.4.2 Kitkat version but former will have the advantage that all the updates will be made available by Google itself which we can’t claim for Unite 2.

Both Canvas Unite 2 and Canvas A1 run on 1.3GHz quad core processor based on MediaTek MT6582 chipset. So there is barely any comparison in terms of processor as both ensures glitch free performance and it is very easy to swipe in between while multitasking.

Camera:

Both Canvas A1 and Unite 2 sports 5MP of rear camera with auto focus. Both cart 2MP of front facing camera so as to click selfies and to establish video calls with family and friends.

Canvas Unite 2 includes the features like panorama both vertical and horizontal while through Canvas A1 one can capture 360 degree photosphere. Both can record videos at HD resolution.

Battery:

CanvasA1 houses 1700mah battery claiming talk time of 6h and stand by time of 160h while Canvas Unite 2 bears 2000mah battery promising talk time of 8hrs on 2G and stand by time of 190hrs on 2G.

Canvas A1 have 1GB of internal RAM which is coupled with 4GB of internal ROM out of which 2.5GB is available for apps installation. External memory can be expandable up to 32GB with the help of external MicroSD card slot.

While Canvas Unite 2 provides 1GB of RAM mated with 4GB of internal ROM out of which 0.89GB is available for apps installation and 1.67GB is available for user. Here also we have expandable memory up to 32GB.
