Micromax first entered into the handset business with the idea of long-lasting battery which could last for months. And gradually we got to see some of the most amazing innovations of all time. Few years back it was just Apple, Samsung or Nokia, Micromax was considered as the counterfeit of Chinese phones. But with the years Micromax has gained the trust of the Indian users and now is one of the leading companies.

The biggest achievement of the company was to launch the handsets with all the latest specs under the affordable price range. Every user can’t afford a high range smart phone. Micromax made it possible to have all those specs which were initially just featured in higher end devices. Its competitor Samsung is struggling to launch a handset which can last up to user’s expectations while Micromax has unveiled the handsets like Canvas Gold, Canvas Nitro, Canvas 4 Plus etc which are known for their quality and range of specs that they deliver.

Keeping the increasing popularity in mind, Google collaborated with Micromax to launch their first Android One phones. Even in these five years company’s sales has grown from 10,000 to 36 million which itself is the biggest contrivance. It requires a lot of courage to start a business and take it to this standard.

Micromax founders have made everything possible which we can’t even think of. Micromax co-founder, Rahul Sharma is one such persona. And this is the reason he is in the list of top 40 over 40. Under his and his group guidance the company hit the revenue of $1.2 billion last year.

All in all Micromax has always come up to the user’s expectations and we really hope that in coming years even Micromax will be in top five mobile manufacturers in the world. Though through Russia, Micromax has already stepped in the international market and by roping in the international star like Hugh Jackman, we can expect the company to do the similar work internationally also.
