Micromax Canvas Infinity with 18:9 Full Vision Display at Rs. 9999

Just few days back we talked about how Micromax was adding up new devices to its smartphone series, well today we received yet another member in the smartphone range of Micromax, namely the Micromax Canvas Infinity which was launched earlier today. The device is up for grabs at the price tag of Rs 9,999 exclusively via Amazon India starting from September 1st for which registrations have already begun.

The Micromax Canvas Infinity well deserves its fame and respect all thanks to its Full Vision Display technology, for those who us who don’t understand it, in simpler words, the normal aspect ratio of devices we usually buy is 16:9 whereas the Micromax Canvas Infinity will be coming with an aspect ratio of 18:9 thus providing an experience of full immersion to the display. In a nutshell the display ratio of the device is 2:1 i.e. the display is twice as wide as it is high.

Coming onto the hardware specifications of the device, they are laid down as follows:

  • The device features a 5.7-inch HD IPS Display with a 2.5D Glass over it and a pixel resolution of 1440×720 pixels along with the 18:9 aspect ratio.
  • The smartphone is powered up by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor under the hood.
  • The phone has 32GB of Storage Capacity onboard that can be further expanded up to 128GB via external microSD card and is coupled with 3GB of RAM to work alongside.
  • The Micromax Canvas Infinity surprises us with 13 MegaPixel rear-shooter bundled with technology like Auto HDR and SuperPixel and a 16 MegaPixel f/2.0 aperture front camera with a Soft Selfie Flash included too.
  • Along the Connectivity front, the device supports 4G with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, AGPS, Bluetooth and OTG Support for upto 64GB.
  • For the onboard sensors, the Micromax Canvas Infinity includes a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Light sensor, Magnetic Sensor and a Fingerprint Sensor which brags to unlock within 0.2 seconds.
  • The phone runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat for now, but has also been rumored to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update in near future, although it is yet to be confirmed.
  • The Dual-SIM device gets its juice from a 2,900 mAH battery which boasts a standby time of upto 420 Hours.

Considering the device as a whole, it is the cheapest phone in market with the Full Vision Technology coming up in close competition with the LG Q6 priced at Rs 14,990 and thus is a good purchase in case you were planning to buy a new smartphone.
