List of Micromax Phones with Android v7 Nougat Launched till July’17

Google upped their game one step when they started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update as usual beginning with their official range of products like Nexus series and slowly extending to rest of the devices in the Android market. Although Lollipop and Marshmallow still cover a lot of user-share, Nougat is now running on around 11% of the Android devices.

The Nougat update brought in many new features and improvements, some may be subtle like the new multitasking shortcut, while some are bold, like the whole new revamped notifications.

Following are some main changes and features that Android 7.0 brought in for all of us:

  • Improved Battery Life: Nougat upgraded on their battery life, by pulling the Doze mode up-a-notch. Unlike Marshmallow, Nougat’s doze starts up as soon as your screen is turned off.
  • All New Notifications: The notification panel features a new look and design, the notifications are now wider and cover the entire screen and also provides a new quick reply option depending on the apps.
  • Multi-Window: Android 7.0 finally brings in the Multi-Window, split screen usage allowing you to open more than one app on a single screen to make it easier for you to multitask.
  • Overview button Multitasking: Did you know, that you can quickly shift to the last app you were using by double-tapping the Overview button. This was also brought in by Nougat and is a great time saver.
  • Overhauled Settings: The new and revamped Settings are introduced in Android 7.0 which now mention subtle little key details alongside the options.
  • Data Saver: If you are one of those people, whose data gets eaten away due to background applications, then Nougat is the solution for you, its new utility allows you to restrict apps you don’t like to use data.

Coming to Micromax, it is a well-known name in the market today, but for now the thing they’re lacking is the smartphones that are running Nougat.
